Eclipse 2017

In two weeks-time we will be seeing the “Great American Eclipse” with one of THE best seats in the house!  De Soto Missouri lies in the path of totality at which we should be experiencing it for an awesome 2 minutes 40 seconds.  I have to say I am pretty excited about it.  Not sure completely why but I am! 

Probably by now you’ve seen plenty of information on this eclipse so I won’t bore you with the same jargon.  Instead let’s look at some potential effects, spiritually speaking.  This eclipse, like all of the others, are part of a larger cycle that extends past one’s typical lifespan.  Yes each one has it’s own energy signature but they all collaborate together as a form of energetic change &/or acceleration.  According to Susan at astrologyzone.com eclipses are dramatic “wild cards”.  They are some of the most dramatic tools that the universe uses to get us to pay attention to areas in our life that need to change.  They uproot us & get us moving.  They shake us out of our feelings of compliancy so that we can move from one level of maturity to another higher plane. 

She goes on to state that a solar eclipse is really a new moon on steroids with a TOTAL solar eclipse having the most intense impact of all forms of eclipses.  This is a time of new beginnings & creating opportunities.  You can utilize this time to help yourself become the person “you” truly want to be. 

Symbolically the Sun represents the masculine energy of our world while the Moon represents the feminine “Goddess” energy.  “The Moon is the night to God’s day, the Water to the God’s fire, the yin to the God’s yang” (Wicca Moon Magic).  With these two nurturing forces coming together forming a union in alignment with the Earth, the energy could very well be great.  If you come to feel disoriented or unbalanced please take your shoes off, place your bare feet in the grass (not concrete) & ground your energy in the Earth.  If you are skeptical that this works, I challenge you to the next time you’re very upset about something to go outside and ground yourself.  You will be surprised! 

For viewing this special event I have decided that all of my crystals will be tagging along!  It will probably take me a better part of my morning to do but I will be placing them ALL outside to be infused with this special energy.  We are located directly in the totality zone so how could I not?!   I’ll be posting pics of the event on my facebook page.
