Chrysanthemum stone was first discovered in Japan, but has also been found in China, Canada and the USA. It is a naturally occurring stone that is made from a mixture of gypsum, dolomite and limestone, with inclusions of various other minerals including Celestite, Calcite, Andalusite and Feldspar.  It is commonly black and white, but it may also be brown and white, as this depends on the minerals present. The way the minerals are arranged in the stones resembles a flower, which explains the meaning of the name Chrysanthemum Stone.  Beware of stones that have "painted-on" flowers.

This is a “stone of harmony and change”, encouraging one to understand the correlation between the two.  It further enhances compatibility, is excellent for renewal of both love and familial relationships.
Chrysanthemum stone brings the message to enjoy each moment & helps one to bloom towards the perfect self.  It is said to inspire, enliven, enkindle, the perfect self while helping the continuation of the path of self-development.  This stone dispels superficiality such as ignorance, bigotry, & self-righteous attitudes that can weaken the mind.  By assisting in removing these obstructions from one’s path, it provides calm confidence and increases one’s inherent strength of character.
Chrysanthemum stone is helpful for time travel, to lessen traumas associated with physical aging, aiding in transitions, treatment of disorders of the eyes/skin/skeletal system, combating growths and in eliminating toxins.
